Oh September, where did you go?! I spent all summer dreading you (haha) and poof, you're gone already...?
Every month or so I'll do a round up of the month and summarise for you what new teaching ideas I blogged about, what freebies I added to the VIP Member area, what new resources I posted in store, what resources I updated so you can redownload them, and any other exciting updates from the month, so everything is all nice and neat in one place, just how I like my classroom, haha!

In school:
So September is done, meaning I am now officially 1 month into the school year. How fast time flies... I think now the grace period is officially over: the smiles and laid back attitude after the summer have now been replaced with lots of sprinting around the school and frazzled faces :)
My lessons are all going really well though - I am still really organised, my classroom is pristine and I've been really pleased with my students' progress, despite some unexpected fire alarms going off... lol! I even managed to get out on a school trip a few weeks ago which was fun!
Next month is set to be a busy one with open evenings and observations though, so I'm bracing myself!

I've also been spending time sprucing up some oldies but goodies: check out these face-lifts! The actual resources themselves have all been updated (not just the covers!) to ensure they look even better for your students (click the images to see more):
If you've already downloaded any of these, please make sure you redownload to get the fresh, new updates! If you've never seen these before, feel free to check them out and let me know if you have any questions. Watch out for more face-lifts coming soon!

In fact, TeachersPayTeachers picked up my Pirate blog post and posted it on their blog too, wow! I have been using the "wheel" in my lessons a lot this month and the kids absolutely LOVE it! And as for the envelope notes, well they are going down a storm with parents right now ;)
I also introduced a new VIP area to this site this month! This is a place for you to access free resources in a private password secured section, just for you! So far this area has the following resources:

On social media:
This month I have been obsessing over Instagram and I've been posting every single day! I just love the incredible teacher community on there and sharing ideas and inspirational quotes. This year, I have decided to commit to doing something called "Peak of My Week" where I share something great that happened at school during the week. This has been incredible and helping me focus on the positive and take note of all the amazing moments of being a teacher! So far, I have done all 4 weeks and I can't wait until I get to the end of the year when I will have all 40 to look back on and remember fondly! I also post these on Facebook, so if you'd like to join along with me, let me know your Peak of the Week in the comments on Instagram or Facebook every Friday!

In my life:
So far so good, a little tired but I'm happy! I'm thrilled that I managed to keep healthy the first month of school despite all the sniffling and sneezing going on in my classroom, eugh! Vitamin C pills and hand sanitizer are definitely staples in in my Autumn / Winter teacher essentials kit!
I've actually been hanging out in Central London most weekends this month: going out for dinner, walking around Leicester Square, Oxford Street and Regents Street and getting sucked into the city buzz watching random street parties (check out my Instagram post to some of the craziness that goes on in London!).
That's all for September! I hope you've had a good month and great start to the school year. Here's to October!
