OK I'll be honest, I always thought the idea of label makers was a little OCD.. I mean what's wrong with a quick scribble with a sharpie?
I was browsing the stationary aisle in WH Smiths (as you do) and I came across a label maker that was half price for about £16! On impulse I decided to just go for it and see what the fuss was about, and I must say I think I'm hooked...

I feel the need to add on a shopping trip to Staples soon after I saw this exact product selling for about £15 (that's the gamble with impulse purchases!). So this is probably the cheapest out there at the moment from what I have seen, but it does a great job! It's the Brother P-touch 1005. It looks quite 90s and has an old school screen:
However it does give you a variety of options to choose from to personalise your labels and the quality is great! You can also purchase different coloured labels and text as well, although they seem quite pricey so watch out for those added costs. I have labelled some of the tabs mentioned in my meetings notebook post so you can see what they look like:
I think they look so much more professional than hand written labels and I am finding myself getting carried away labeling all sorts of things now, it's quite bizarre how the urge takes you!
I recommend getting yourself a label maker, even a cheap one like this, and get labeling; I'm certain you will love how it makes things look!
