It's coming - 2015. I can't quite believe how fast time is flying! I would definitely describe 2014 as being a year of change for me, and so I am looking forward to seeing what 2015 will bring!
I thought it would be fun to share my new year's resolutions for the year with you - some are teacher related and some are not (see point one below haha). Feel free to leave a comment with any of your resolutions too, I'd love to hear them!

1) Happy work/life balance.
I'm sure I'm not the only one with this goal! I have steps in place to achieve it: some I know are successful as I have been doing them this year and I want to continue them, while others are new ones I am going to try. Look out for a blog post on this soon!
2) Keep up with marking.
Definitely an important one for my teacher life. Watch this space for a post on managing your marking load, if you want to join me with this one!
3) Keeping healthy.
For me this means eating right and working out more regularly. I'm already lucky enough to be a good sleeper (if I choose to go to bed at a reasonable hour!) and I have written a blog post on waking up feeling refreshed if you want to check it out! But I find it too easy to grab a fast snack and to plonk out when I get home. I want to make the effort to eat well and get into a manageable work out routine.
4) Online life.
Since I redesigned my blog over Winter break, I have been really inspired to post more often and share my ideas and thoughts with you! I've also been sharing more snippets of my personal life through my new Instagram, which I am also enjoying! I want to make sure I keep my online life nurtured.
5) Acts of Kindness.
Finally, I want to ensure I make an effort to to do at least one act of kindness for someone else every day. I think one of the best feelings is being kind to others - it's so easy to do and doesn't have to cost anything, but can really make someone else's day!

Side note: as great as new years resolutions are, I think they need to be reviewed more than annually for them to be effective and kept at the forefront of your mind. Therefore, as we venture through 2015 I will keep you updated with my journey through my blog, and especially when I come across any tips in achieving these goals: I'd love for you to come along with me!
